Welcome to BB Active Recovery – a small business based in Mapplewell, dedicated to helping people move, feel, and live better.
My name is Werner “Boots” Beukes, and I’m passionate about supporting people on their recovery journey. At 25, I’ve combined my love of sport with a strong understanding of the human body to create a space where clients can relieve tension, recover from aches or injuries, and perform at their best.
I studied Sports and Exercise Science at university for three years before gaining Active IQ Level 3 and Level 4 Sports Therapy & Massage qualifications. I’ve since expanded my skill set by completing further training in Acupuncture and Cupping Therapy, allowing me to offer more targeted and effective recovery treatments.
Along the way, I gained valuable hands-on experience volunteering at Barnsley Football Club, working alongside academy and first-team physiotherapists and treating players from U18s through to senior professionals.
At BB Active Recovery, I offer a range of treatments, including:
